DESCRIPTION:ENTER EVENTSTART LISTRACE PACKCONTACT USDescriptionThe Run Like The Wind 10K is a fantastic new road race, along with a family fun run, on the scenic Walney Island.\nWith its flat profile, coastal scenery, and supportive atmosphere, Run Like the Wind is perfect for experienced runners, first-time 10k participants and families taking part in the fun run.\nCourseThe race begins at the Round House before heading out along closed roads towards the coast. Runners then join the beach path, where they will enjoy stunning coastal views across the Irish sea along the shoreline of Walney Island.\nThe route continues along the seafront path heading towards Biggar Bank offering wide open views, sea air and the chance to run alongside the island’s famous wind turbines. After completing the first loop, runners return past the start area to begin the second lap before finishing on the front by the West Shore Club.\nParking and facilitiesParking is available at Walney School and street parking around the area\nPrize CategoriesPrizes for first 3 male and female, first in each age category and team.\nTimingPick up your race number/timing chip from Registration on the day.\n\n
