Race HQ: This is at Marple 6th Form college again where registration, parking and toilets are situated.

Start/Finish: This is a short distance away from Race HQ, by the Middlewood Way car park on Wood Lane, Marple, Stockport, Greater Manchester, SK6 7RE. The race starts bang on 09:30, the start is staggered to relieve congestion on the Middlewood Way.

Registration: Opens at 08.00 There will be no entries on the day, the race entry limit is 500.

Cut Off: We do not have a cut off time, but please email us and let us know if you expect to take longer than 3 hours 15 minutes to complete the course. This is to allow us to plan for marshal replacements and delay course dismantlement.

Optional Extras: We no longer provide medals for every runner as we are actively working towards reducing waste at our races. We do appreciate how important a medal is to some runners, but not so much to others, so we offer the option to pre-order a medal for the Trail Half at a cost of £3.50

Marshals: We are looking for marshals to help make the day go smoothly. If you can help, know someone who can or would like more details please e-mail us at crazylegsevents@gmail.com. All our volunteers are offered a free (transferable) entry for a future event or a charity donation on their behalf.

Race Pack: We will email out our race pack to all entrants via email in 1-2 weeks before the event. When the Race Pack button above is displayed as blue, you can access the race pack via that button.

The route is a relatively flat pan handle out and back with the out section taking place on the old Marple to Macclesfield railway. At approx. half way it crosses over onto the Macclesfield canal towpath heading back to Marple before taking you back onto the Middlewood way for the return to Marple.

Parking for approx 150 cars is available at the venue and once this is full there are several car parks nearby in Marple town centre.
Registration on the day will take part outside in the college grounds. There will be port-a-loos at the college but not at the Race Start which is a 5 minute walk away from the college. As there will be no access to inside areas at the college there will be a place to leave bags at the Race Start.
