How does 3 Halls work?
Start and finish at Stockport Georgians, navigate to each of the 3 halls above in no particular order.

Open to runners and walkers, you can enter as an individual, a family (min of 3 people), or a team. We will provide a suggested route upon request but you can work out any route between each point using your own map. The idea is to try to find the shortest route using only public rights of way. We estimate the distance will be approx. 9.5 miles.

You do not have to complete all the halls, if 1 or 2 is enough for you, just make your way back to the finish when you’re ready, there will be refreshments waiting for you.

The 5 Halls -Do you fancy going a little bit further?
How about this optional extra open to runners only – we have added 2 more Halls into the mix.
They can be done in any order but you must do all 3 of the main halls and either add 1 or both of the halls below. There will not be a checkpoint at these halls, we’ll need to see your route (Strava, plot-a-route, Map my run etc) or a photo of you by Vernon Hall / the Scotch Bob statue

We managed to clash with another local event last year, so just in case it happens again we are opening up the event to virtual entries between 00:01 a.m. Saturday 14th January to 11:59 p.m. on 21st January. Enter as a Virtual Runner run the halls and submit your route to us by email before 08:00 a.m. on January 22nd.

Race Pack: We will email out our race pack to all entrants via email in 1-2 weeks before the event. When this is available, it can also be accessed via the Race Pack option above

There are a few basic rules:
Use only public rights of way, be courteous to other members of the public using the paths etc. check in and have your checkpoint card clipped at each checkpoint and let us know if you drop out.

Where possible, record your run/walk on an app e.g. Strava, Map my Run, etc. or take a photo of yourself at each of the checkpoints.

There is a prize for the fastest Male and Female finishers and a few spot prizes.

All Under 18s must walk, not run.

Only runners can enter The 5 Halls (due to the distance and length of time)

The event is run under UKA rules which should be followed by all participants

Course

The idea is that once you know which Halls we’ve chosen, you plot your own route between the 3 halls and back to Race HQ using only public rights of way. Ideally you’ll plot the shortest route between the halls. We will have a suggested route you can follow, we’ll update it shortly before the event after our final recce.

Venue facilities & car parking

Parking is available at the venue although car sharing would be a good idea to prevent any congestion on the local roads.
Bag drop, toilets and refreshments are available at the finish

Prize Categories

There are prizes for the fastest Male and Female – we usually post these out after the event.

When the Race Pack button above is displayed as blue, you can access the race pack via that button.
